Nelly Moon

Born during the 'Ducks flying Moon' in 1961, Nelly immigrated with her family to Australia when she was three years old.  While there, Nelly spent the majority of her childhood travelling and much of that time she would be found in the bush getting to know the local wildlife, many of  whom would follow her home.  From an early age Nelly had a special connection with animal and one that was reciprocated allowing her to tune into their energy for communication and healing.

As an accomplished artist, Nelly has been crafting and designing for over two decades, but a near death experience in 1990 gave her the push to pursue her passion full time, culminating in her online Native American based craft shop, Nelly Moon.

1990 was indeed a year of many changes and one not to be forgotten as this was the start of the journey into her heritage and shamanism. 

During her near death Nelly remembers being in a place of beauty, a place so full of love that the urge to stay was overwhelming, but spirit had other ideas and she was taken by the hand and brought back.

The guiding hand was that of her Dine (Navajo) Grandfather who had passed away many generations before.  Grandfather taught Nelly about her past and about her future, instilling her with the confidence to follow in his footsteps as healer and shaman.

Biography

Always with a strong desire to return to the UK Nelly had saved enough for her journey by the age of 17 becoming one of the youngest employed bank managers for a well known bank by the age of 21.   A few years later she resigned to care for her son who was born with cerebral palsy.  Nelly currently lives by the Irish Sea in the North West of England with her husband, son and dogs.
