Aims and Ethics

Ethics

  1. To honour our ancestors and our descendents, both of blood and spirit; all that has come together to make us as we are now, those that we teach and inspire and those that our energies will affect in the future.
  1. To use our skills ethically and in furtherance of the betterment of the individual, the community and the land.
  1. To be honest, open minded, non judgmental and to treat others as we would like to be treated ourselves.
  1. Respect for the environment. To treat every natural object or being with respect as an equally important being. 
  1. To accept, respect and be willing to learn from the diversity of beliefs and people. 
  1. To respect the cultural roots of our practices.
  1. To respect the rights of indigenous people especially those under threat from globalisation, industrialisation or any other cause that adversely affects their right to define their own way of life.
  1. To accept and respect ourselves.

Aims

  1. To encourage respect for the self and our communities.
  1. To encourage the honour of our ancestors and descendents, both of blood and spirit.
  1. To encourage the active participation of individuals and communities in taking care of the natural world and the land
  1. To support personal and spiritual development
  1. To encourage the development of shamanism and a shamanic lifestyle
  1. To encourage respect for the cultural roots of our practices.
  1. To encourage respect for the rights of indigenous people especially those under threat from globalisation, industrialisation or any other cause that adversely affects their right to define their own way of life.
  1. To enable all shaman, shamanic practitioners and people interested in a shamanic lifestyle to access support and information
  1. To encourage an ethical commitment to shamanism among shaman and shamanic practitioners
  1. To provide an inclusive service to individuals of all and any race, gender, colour, nationality, ethnic or racial origin, cultural heritage, disability, sexual orientation, age, training.
